Bailleul Laboratory, Onytec varnish, 6.6

Onytec 80 mg is an antifungal medicated nail polish indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate nail fungus , also called onychomycosis, which can be cured by ciclopirox .

It has significant activity (broad-spectrum antifungal agent), and is recommended for local use on fingernails, toenails and the skin immediately adjacent to it. 

Its active substance is ciclopirox, dosed at 80 mg per 1 g of polish. Ciclopirox prevents the growth of fungi responsible for mycosis while destroying them. 
The other components of its formula are: Ethyl acetate, 96% ethanol, cetostearyl alcohol, hydroxypropyl chitosan and purified water.
 

Dosage of Onytec antifungal varnish

This treatment for nail fungus is reserved for adults only. 
It is applied cutaneously, with use only on the nails and the skin immediately adjacent to it. 

The recommended dose is 1 application of a thin layer of varnish on the infected nail(s), 1 time per day. 
The nail(s) should not be cleaned for at least 6 hours. It is therefore recommended to apply Onytec 80 mg, medicated nail varnish in the evening, before going to bed. 

Treatment with this antifungal varnish should be continued until the problem disappears: in other words, until the nails are translucent, or their appearance is significantly improved, or healthy nails have grown back. 
It generally takes 6 months for complete healing of fingernails, and 9 to 12 months for toenails.
