The Verlim protective varnish from the Biorga Dermatologie laboratory is a treatment used to protect healthy skin around a wart (or corn), previously treated with verrucides. It includes a protective varnish, a local applicator and files.

What are the characteristics of Verlim protective varnish?

Treatment with the Verlim protective varnish from the Biorga Dermatologie laboratory includes three distinct phases: protection of healthy skin, occlusion of the lesion and filing.
The first stage of the treatment consists of applying the varnish all around the lesion to be treated, such as a wart or a corn, in order to protect the healthy skin from the verrucidal treatments applied to said lesions.
The second stage occurs after the external treatment has dried to make it more effective. Here, the varnish must be applied directly to the lesion to obtain an occlusive effect .
The third and final stage is the filing of the lesion once the varnish has dried. This stage is used to remove the ends of the treated lesions in thin layers, filing superficially and thus allowing the keratolytic treatment to be repeated if necessary.
For practical purposes, the varnish is colored with quinoline yellow in order to clearly see where the product is applied during these different stages.
