- Indications
- Indications for use are:
- – states of increased demand for calcium: period of intensive growth in children
- and adolescents and during pregnancy and lactation;
- – improper nutrition with products poor in calcium;2
- – disturbances of calcium reabsorption from the renal tubules;
- – decreased blood calcium levels with increased phosphorus levels in patients
- with chronic renal failure, undergoing dialysis and preventing increased
- neuromuscular excitability;
- – prophylactically in the prevention and complementary treatment of osteoporosis;
- – conditions after long-term immobilization and the period of convalescence after bone fractures;
- – supportive in the treatment of colds and allergic diseases.
- Contraindications
- hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients;
- hypercalcemia due to hyperparathyroidism, hyperthyroidism, hypervitaminosis D, decalcifying tumors without bone metastases, tumors with bone metastases, severe renal impairment, sarcoidosis;
- severe hypercalciuria;
- kidney stones;
- treatment with digitalis glycosides.
