Active ingredients: mepyramine maleate and phenylephrine hydrochloride.
1 ml nasal spray contains 1.5 mg of mepyramine maleate and 2.5 mg of phenylephrine hydrochloride.
A single dose of spray contains 0.15 mg of mepyramine maleate and 0.25 mg of phenylephrine hydrochloride.
Excipients: glycerin, sodium chloride, cetalkonium chloride, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, polysorbate 20, purified water.

Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
The drug is administered intranasally.
Recommended dose:
Adults and children over 6 years: 2 doses in each nostril every 4 to 6 hours.
Do not use the drug more than 5 times a day or more than 3 days.

Sinumedin relieves a runny nose, clears the nose and paranasal sinuses, facilitates breathing and has an antibacterial effect.

Sinumedin is indicated for the treatment of:
Rhinitis (runny nose) – with inflammation of the nasal mucosa, including rhinitis with allergies (allergies);
sinus infection.

Sinumedin should not be taken:
if you are allergic to the active substances or any of the other ingredients of the medicine;
in children under 6 years of age;
during pregnancy and lactation.

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Side effects that may occur while taking Sinumedin are listed below:
tachycardia, palpitations, arrhythmia;
headache, dizziness, drowsiness, sedation, insomnia, weakness;
diarrhea, nausea, constipation;
hypertension;
Irritation and congestion of the nose, dry mucous membranes.
Warnings and Precautions
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Sinumedine:
if you are older;
if you suffer from allergic diseases (for example, asthma) or dry rhinitis;
if you suffer from heart failure;
if you have high blood pressure;
if you have diabetes;
if you have pheochromocytoma;
if you have an overactive thyroid;
if you have an enlarged prostate;
if you have angle-closure glaucoma;
Sinumedin may enhance the effects of alcohol.
Sinumedin contains methyl parahydroxybenzoate and propyl parahydroxybenzoate. The drug can cause allergic reactions (reactions of a late type are possible). The drug may cause slight irritation of the skin, eyes and mucous membranes.
Keep out of the reach of children.
Store below 25°C.

Tell the doctor or pharmacist about all medicines the patient is currently or recently taking, and any medicines the patient may be taking.
If you are taking any of the following medicines, you may need to change your dose or stop treatment:
Barbiturates, hypnotics and sedatives, atropine, tricyclic antidepressants (imipramine, opipramol, amitriptyline, doxepin, mianserin) – Sinumedin may enhance their effect;
some beta-blockers, such as B. esmolol, can increase the effect of phenylephrine, which can lead to a serious increase in blood pressure in some patients;
Monoamine oxidase inhibitors, such as selegiline, moclobemide, amiflamin, prolong and enhance the action of Sinumedin.
Taking medication with food and drink
Sinumedin can be taken with or without food or drink.
pregnancy and breastfeeding period
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, check with your doctor before taking this medicine.
Sinumedin should not be used during pregnancy and lactation.
The use of the drug in children and adolescents
Do not use on children under 6 years of age.
driving and working with machines
Sinumedin has a slight or moderate effect on the ability to drive a car and work with mechanisms, so care should be taken when using the drug.
