What you need to know before taking Allertec WZF.

Do not use Allertec Fexo
if you are allergic to fexofenadine hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Warnings and Precautions
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Allertec WZF. If you have kidney problems, you may need a lower dose. Your doctor will determine the dose of your medication.

Ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine if you have epilepsy or have had seizures.

If you have difficulty urinating (for conditions such as spinal cord injury or prostate enlargement), consult your doctor before using this medicine.

There were no clinically significant interactions between alcohol (at a concentration of 0.5 ppm (g/L) in the blood, which corresponds to the concentration after drinking one glass of wine) and cetirizine at recommended doses. However, there are no data on the safety of the simultaneous use of higher doses of cetirizine and alcohol. Therefore, when taking Allertec VZF, as well as other antihistamines, the patient should avoid drinking alcohol.

If you are scheduled for allergy tests, ask your doctor if you should stop taking Allertec WZF a few days before testing. Allertec WZF may affect the results of allergy tests.

Pregnancy and lactation.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. Your doctor will decide if Allertec WZF can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

How to take Allertec WZF.

Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The drug can be taken before, during or after meals.
Swallow the tablets with a glass of water.
The tablet can be divided into equal doses.

Usual doses are given below.
Children from 6 to 12 years old:
5 mg (half film-coated tablet) twice daily.
Adults and teenagers over 12 years of age:
10 mg (1 film-coated tablet) once daily.

Patients with renal insufficiency:
The dose of the drug is determined by the doctor individually for children and adults, depending on the degree of impaired renal function, age and body weight of the patient.

The usual doses for adults are given below:
mild renal failure – 10 mg (1 film-coated tablet) 1 time per day.
impaired renal function of moderate severity – 5 mg (half a film-coated tablet) 1 time per day.
severe renal failure – 5 mg (half a coated tablet) every other day.
Do not use the drug in severe renal failure with creatinine clearance less than 10 ml / min.

Patients with liver failure:
Dosage adjustment is not required.

Elderly patients:
If renal function is normal, dose adjustment is not required.

If you have the impression that Allertec WZF is too strong or too weak, talk to your doctor.

If you use more Allertec WZF than specified
If you have taken more than the recommended dose of the drug, contact your doctor immediately, who will decide on further treatment.

After taking a dose exceeding the recommended daily dose, confusion, diarrhea, dizziness, fatigue, headache, malaise, dilated pupils, itching, especially anxiety, sedation, drowsiness, stupor, increased heart rate, tremor and urinary retention may occur.
