Doliprane 1000 mg powder is an analgesic and antipyretic medicine. It is composed of paracetamol and is indicated to calm pain such as in cases of dental pain, headaches, aches or painful periods. It is also used to reduce fever such as in flu syndrome. It can also be prescribed by your doctor to relieve the pain of osteoarthritis . Its 
use is reserved for adults and children over 50 kg (approximately 15 years old).

One sachet of Doliprane 1000 mg powder contains 1000 mg of paracetamol . The excipients are composed of sodium benzoate, povidone K90, acetylated monoglycerides, titanium dioxide, orange flavor (water, maltodextrin, gum arabic, orange essential oil) and sucrose.
 

Dosage of the drug Doliprane 1000 mg powder

Doliprane 1000 mg powder is taken orally. The contents of the sachet should be dissolved in a small amount of drink and the resulting solution drunk immediately afterwards.

Due to its dosage, Doliprane 1000 mg powder is reserved for adults and children over 50 kg .  Below 50 kilos, Doliprane 500 mg sachets should be used .

Its dosage is 1 sachet per dose to be repeated if necessary after 6 hours (4 hours minimum). In case of renal insufficiency, the time between 2 doses should be 8 hours.
The usual maximum dosage is 3 g per day or 3 sachets per day.
Do not take a higher dosage (4 g per day) without the advice of a doctor.
Do not exceed 5 days of use in case of pain and 3 days in case of fever, unless otherwise advised by a doctor. If your symptoms persist or if signs of worsening occur, you should consult a doctor.
 

Precautions and warnings of the drug Doliprane 1000 sachet

Doliprane 1000 mg powder should never be used in case of allergy to paracetamol or to one of the constituents of the formula, in case of serious liver disease and in case of malabsorption syndrome of certain sugars (galactose, fructose, glucose) and for a weight less than 50 kg.

Do not take a medicine containing paracetamol at the same time as Doliprane sachets, in order to avoid any risk of overdose. Check that you are not taking other medicines containing paracetamol, even if you have obtained them without a prescription. High doses of paracetamol are potentially toxic to the liver.
In case of overdose, you must seek emergency medical attention.

You should seek the advice of your doctor before taking Doliprane 1000 mg powder, in case of liver or kidney disease, if you drink alcohol frequently or if you have stopped drinking alcohol, in case of malnutrition or dehydration, if you are fasting, if you have lost a lot of weight recently, if you are over 75 years old, or over 65 years old but with long-term illnesses, if you have the AIDS virus, chronic hepatitis, if you have cystic fibrosis, Gilbert’s disease, or if you are allergic to aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
Do not combine Doliprane 1000 mg powder with another medicine that may be potentially toxic to the liver, for example such as certain antiepileptics or rifampicin. For more information, see the leaflet. 

Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine.

Doliprane 1000 mg powder can be used, but on medical advice, during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

Taking paracetamol can modify uricemia and blood sugar during a blood test.
